The large silver soldered/ silver plate, food dome/ meat cloche is a stunning vintage piece, crafted by International Silver for Hoteles Nacionales Venezuela circa 1951. This dome was specifically designed to cover and protect meats and other dishes in hotels. Perfect for showcasing and preserving your culinary creations. This solid piece would be great for use as well as display--especially for those who collect hotel style silver.
Measurements: approx 15 3/4" long x 10 3/4" wide x approx 5" tall on the inside and approx 5 1/2" tall to the top of the outside.
Makers Mark: Hoteles Nacionales Venezuela IS International Silver Co Silver Soldered 0998A 18 IN and 51 in a square indicating the year it was made.
The dome/cloche is in good vintage condition. Has some standard signs of age and use such as tiny dings, small bruises, surface scratches and the usual marks/ tiny dings inherent to silver soldered items. One end has a few small obvious dings. No obvious damage
