Large, vintage, Silver Soldered, WWII, US Navy, sugar bowl for Wardroom Officer's Mess by Crown Silverplate Co. A very shiny and sturdy piece. Great for those who collect militaria, hospitality silver or every day use.
Marks: The bottom of the piece is stamped with Crown Silverplate Co stamp and 1975 (not indicative of the date).
Measurements: approx 5" tall x 8" wide handle to handle. The body is 5" diameter at its widest.
This sugar bowl is in good vintage condition for it's age and use. Does have some signs of age and use such as light surface scratches and the usual marks/ tiny dings inherent to silver soldered items. The inside is clean, but does have some scratches and gouges (most likely from spoon scraping) and oxidized staining. Overall, still super shiny and beautiful. No obvious damage that I can see.
