Large, vintage, Silver Soldered, WWII, US Navy, teapot for Wardroom Officer's Mess circa 1944. Sturdy and elegant, this teapot has an arched handle and mushroom style finial. Beautiful piece of history.
Marks: The bottom of the piece Reed & Barton Silver Soldered 3610 U.S.N. 901F and a circled dove for date mark 1944.
Measurements: approx 5 1/2" tall x 10 1/2" wide handle to spout. The body is 6" diameter at its widest.
This teapot is in good vintage condition for it's age and use. Does have some signs of age and use such as light surface scratches and the usual marks/ tiny dings inherent to silver soldered items. The inside is clean, but does have some scratches and staining. Super shiny and beautiful. No obvious damage that I can see.
