Stunning, antique, silver plate, elliptical bowl with portrait medallion faces on the ends circa 1856-1871. The face has an etched Aesthetic/ Greek Revival design. On each end is a portrait medallion of a pirate or Greek god. This tray is a gorgeous piece of history and in absolutely beautiful.
Measurements: approx 13" long x 6 1/4" wide x 4 1/2" tall
Marks: no makers marks just 60 stamped on the bottom, but I believe it is made by Gorham as evidenced from a similar picture and reference to about about Gorham Silver Co (see last pic)
The tray is in decent antique condition. May show some signs of wear like light scratches, tiny dings/bruises, and some areas of wear to the silver (mainly on the underside). No obvious damage I can see.
