Gilded, framed, hand painted, oil painting of a hummingbirds and nest in ornate, gilded/ gold finished frame. The oil painting is a hand painted portrait on wood panel of hummingbirds (Black-throated Mangos) with a nest against a mountainous background inspired by Martin Johnson Heade's painting Black Throated Mango circa 1863. The painting is done by me and not a mass item purchased overseas. I was inspired (aka obsessed) after seeing MJ Heade's paintings at the Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, AR. The frame is has ornate detailing and is hand gilded with gold leaf. The colors in this painting are rich reds, greens, browns, whites and blues and a touch of mica on the birds to give even more depth (looks shiny in pictures but is much more subtle). It's framed in an ornate, gold frame. The artwork is 5"x 5" and in a 12" x 12" frame. Ready for hanging. *The last picture is this painting in a group of other paintings inspired by the same artist.
Measurements: Frame 12" tall x12" wide x 2” depth.
