This large, ornate, silverplate epergne or candelabra features cherubs and a triangular base with a beaded and swag design. Three ornate swags rise from each side to hold candlesticks or larger candles. Two cherubs hug a pillar in the center, which is topped with an epergne bowl. The top epergne could even hold a larger glass bowl if new owner finds one they like to fit as the middle can unscrew and secure it to the inside of the epergne. This is a very solid piece that weighs over 10 pounds! It would be an amazing addition to your decor. Please read the condition description below for more details.
Measurements: approx 16"wide at its widest ( from one end of candle arm to the other) x 9 1/2" tall wide. Base measures 9". Top bowl measures approx 6 1/2" outer diameter. Inner diameter at smallest is 5 3/4". The smaller candle holders measure approx 4 1/2" outer diameter. Inner diamater is approx 2" at its smallest. *May be disassembled for ease of shipping
Marks: The marks lead to an unknown maker. Several inquiries by many others trying to find the maker with the same marks on other pieces have come up empty for well over 20 years.
This epergne is in lovely, vintage/ antique condition. Has expected signs of age and use such as light surface scratches, scuffs, light wear, some polish residue/wax. There is a small scuff mark on the base on one side of a candle swag (see picture). Overall still shiny and beautiful. No obvious damage.
Most of my items are vintage which are used or aged so my items are sold "as is". Refunds or exchanges are not accepted unless I erroneously forgot to mention a major flaw.
